Haha Luckily ive been able to avoid most of all that. But yeah its not a great situation

would be keen to try out the .223 70grn and .308 165grn

I admire your initiative. Cup and core bullets will be mainly bought on price point unless they have some other comparative advantage like BC, weight, caliber or whatever.

But all power to your arm. Choice is good.

We are very fortunate to have Targex in NZ that really are a premium and value bullet but there are gaps in the line up that can be filled.

Got word from the factory today that there is a tipped boat tail bullet in the pipeline too but wont be tooled up till end of this year. It may be bonded too, or there may be a bonded & non bonded version


Also meant to get my shipping rates today i was promised, so hopefully ill have some retail prices for you guys this week

Now that would peak my interest and I would happily test some of those in 30cal

Hey guys, so i got my bits and pieces together price wise and the numbers work. So it looks like retail should be around $85ish for 100x for the larger calbers like 6.5, 308, 312 etc and for the 70gr 224 will be around $75ish



So now i will start doing the other bits like securing finance/investor and seeking retailers. However i will be retailing myself too.

If all goes well i will get the 1st shipment into nz before end of year.

I will also now contact people to NZ test the bullets for me.

I might put a post on here at some point asking if anyone wants to put in a special order of bulk at a discounted rate for the forum

let me know if you get any slippery 30 cal stuff...may also be interested in trying 150gn-165gn ish 30cal in my featherweight.

Dive on in i reckon. All the stores went 'bare cupboards' for years in a row. Very much doubt you'd run out of customers
(especially if you stock hornady 6.5mm 143gn). The other stores might even buy your stock at some point too

Coincidently, there was mention of these on the discord for Gordons reloading tool, to have the data points added to the GRT database.

Either way, keen to try out what you're selling in 7mm and .303

dont think its them...the weights are wrong for calibre...and looking on the list....unless you had a fast twist they would be useless anyway LOL

Hi no these are a new line of bullets, they retail in South Africa under the name APM bullets. Ill propably just use the same name in NZ.

In the past ive found it quite hard to get the copper bullets out of SA for a wholesale price that makes it worth it, last time i tried it it was with one of the other copper brands and once you add the shipping to the wholesale i was already over the NZ retail for Barnes.

I am going to try get some other manufacturers in though

Yeah the long range/elr market in SA has gotten quite big so a lot of places now make bullets for that market. Thats why there are quite a few solid copper very slippery bullets around.
