    Guidance Rl26 in 280AI

    Hi All

I will be picking up some Rl26 tomorrow to try in my 280AI (Howa action with a Truflite 1-8 24 inch barrel)

Looking to run with 168gr Breger VLD, nosler brass and Federal magnum primers.

A bit of web searching and it looks like 58gr could be a good starting point with 62gr being about the max load.

    Does this sound about right?

    Cheers

    Ted

I am currently running 58.5gr of Superformance and just picked up some Reloader 26. Looks like it is slightly slower burning so was going to start at 57 and work my way up from there. Everything I read tells me RL26 is the mutts nuts so be good to see how it goes. Can always go back to my current load.

N560 is also very good - see previous post on here on 280ai loads.

Last night I started my development with 168gr LRAB and Reloader 26. Found a fantastic node between 62.0 - 62.2 - 62.4 - 62.6 with only a 6fps variation at 3033fps to 3039fps. So tonight I will head out and shoot six five shot groups. No pressure signs at all.

    Thanks hthomas

I've been tied down on other stuff and haven't had a chance to put any rounds together yet, hopefully this weekend.
