Thread: Gun Powder Shipping Gun City Question

Now that i've got my reloading gear ordered

I need to get some powder, as i'm rural Coromandel, its a big hike and expensive trip to travel to Auckland to Reloaders or Serious Shooters.

I remembered that Gun City have free shipping this month, so i was thinking of putting an order in and have it shipped, has anyone brought powder from them and had it shipped?

Do i need to go and see the local cop and get firearm order form like getting firearms or bullets?

Anything else i need to know?

I know gun city isn't everyones choice, but Reloaders, Serious Shooters don't ship.

If your R.D mate it's a no go with powder and primers.

i was just going to C/ at the local post office and collect from there.

What about heading into hamilton there are a few places that sell powder there.

i am heading there in a few weeks, got any names of places in hamilton, so i can give them a call, couldn't find any on yellow pages

Cleland gunsmith is a awesome chap and i know my money spent there goes to him. and not a bunch of corporate oxygen theif's. but there is h&f and the likes. who ever you chose ring first because most of them will have to order in the powder for you.

Steeve at Guntraders got a few adi powders but ring first. Forlong in Frankton has a pod selection as well.

Gun traders has some Steve will sort out, Hand F don't have any and they will rip you if they get it in.

Bill from Rusa supplies does all powders and very good price to your door, got 4kg 2208 for $430 the other day

They list quite a selection on their web site, so they must have some in stock
They got surprisingly quite a bit of stuff in stock for reloading.

H & F Kopu or Tauranga may have some powder they're pretty onto it .
Or there's a new sport shop in Paeroa maybe worth a call.

Was at forlongs today they have ADI, Alliant, winchester and Vihtavouri powders and don't forget to have a fondle of the CZ550 lux in .270 that is in there shes a purdy rifle and shoulders nicely too Oh and if anyone wants some reloading bits for 6.5x55 they have a box full of secondhand stuff in there for $229 including a redding 3 die set and some twice fired lapua cases and projectiles.
