Interesting Sydney. The GSC's were shot in a Blaser. Shot - ok - but just penciled through deer which always then needed shot again by another friend loaded with Partitions
I think the bruising is more like a karate chop/punch effect...done right your hand exits as fast as it goes in...the shock of hit moves tissue outwards and it then slams back into cavity created...I find monos work in reverse to cup n core...more damage on nearside and less on farside.
Podcast on hammer bullets

@Tahr well we look forward to a field report in the near future.
Shut up, get out & start pushing!
There is a lot of good talk on the American forums about these pills. Sounds like they non finicky to load and very accurate. The Americans are a good resource for ballistic data but I don't listen to a word they say about terminal performance as they don't get the opportunity to shoot enough game like we do.
I am pretty keen to test them out. If anyone wants to make an order I would be happy to split freight costs with them.
@Tahr I am sure that load of yours will knock em off there feet. That's is a lazer at that MV!
The pkt I bought was here in 5 days. Great service. Sharing freight is a good idea.
Yes they do seem to be easy to get to shoot. My very first trial load of 3 was around .5moa. Its not often load development is done and dusted with 5 shots.

The podcast is well worth a listen. Steve the Hammer Hunter guy brings together a whole lot of variables in the discussion of how they developed these bullets. For instance the part about why stability is so important in this design’s terminal performance is very interesting. Also the discussion about ballistic coefficient.
Not many discussions of this nature can hold my attention for more than 10 minutes but this kept me busy for the full hour plus.
Just...say...the...word
A copper bullet with a hollow point - doesn't get much simpler than that. Assured expansion from the hollow point.
It was an interesting podcast. I aggree that we do get a bit hung up on high BC projectiles. Terminal performance is far more important.
I couldn't help myself, just ordered 2 boxes to try in the 6.5 prc and 7mm Blaser
@Moa Hunter What sort-shock, hammer etc Grainage?
