    A happy outcome for the old Lachmiller Press

    After an offer from a local Forum member with both expertise and access to the right gear the old Lachmiller now has a new lease on life. Apparently a relatively simple job to cut the new thread over the old - if you have the gear and know-how. Many thks Bill!!

    I thought I'd post this as a new thread (pun intended) in reloading rather than update the old WTD thread.

    Shown here with the RCBS 12g Cowboy Die for Brass Cases installed. Next is a repaint for the top and a strip and polish for the solid brass lower. Might have to load a few shells first...

    Yeah not sure how close to original colour is possible but will check the Hammerite options out. They only mix the smooth finish paint. The lower brass parts would prob be best just polished and allowed to patina with an occasional rub. Clear on the cast steel could be pretty cool tho. Or black
