I speak about subs in a 308 but i do shoot a lot in 300 Blackout, I’ve run all sorts of projectiles from 125gr noslers to 230gr Berger’s, with the longer case of the 308 the 151gr cast HP you should no problems feeding into the chamber not like 300 blackout we have to single feed them. With the 151gr I get just over a inch group at 100m, have smoked over a few reds with them. I only really use them for coons that the hound has sniffed out and putting deer, goats out of there misery from a non fatal shot. My main deer subs is the Lehigh 168gr CF and the 194gr ME and has accounted for 200+ deer. The 168gr is more forgiving round if your shot placement is off 4-5 inch’s as the bullet breaks apart coursing 4 or 5 separate would channels, it’s like a 5 pallet shot gun going off inside the chest cavity with massive internal damage. The 194gr is more like a Broadhead and penetrates a long way inside, I’ve had pass throughs and a star shape exit wound with this round, and some found on the far shoulder in the skin.
Most of the other projectiles just pencil though coursing minimal damage unless they tumble, ok if your head and neck shooting.
