I think the M193 is 55gr FMJ milsurp stuff.

The training ammo is sold cheap in bulk (I guess so you can get lots of practice) but shoots well in a lot of rifles and kills animals well. They make steel and brass cased versions.

wow someones making a killing off the Hornady SP. Last box I bought was $35 for the brass case. Mind you with it being unavailable at the mo I guess supply and demand and all that.

Smidey, if your rifle doesnt like the SP and you want to sell, let me know

And the steel cased stuff at least shoots very well in my 223.
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!

is there any difference in the performance of a steel cased round vs a brass or is it just cheaper to make?

Both are great in my 223. I'm reloading the brass and getting awesome accuracy.

i fired two of the fnb's today and they were close together so that suits me. haven't fired any horandy's yet but will get it sighted in well the chuck a few through it to see how they go. I had never fired a 223 before today, was thinking they would be quieter than a 308 for some reason, clearly not and the neighbours dogs just loved it haha.

I paid $52 for brass case hornady training ammo, and $80 for 100 rounds of the steel case. Both shoot well under and inch at 100m from my Tikka, and I shoot a sweet clover leaf at 100m this week, and bang on one inch at 175yards.

Can't be bothered reloading when it shoots this well.

how well do they work on centrefires? i have a .22 with a full over barrel suppressor and it is brilliant. I understand there are two parts to the noise, the powder bang and the sonic boom so how much roughly will it be reduced? i figure each different can will have different results??

Mine sounds just a touch louder than a unsuppressed 22 with hvammo.
