    Hornady changing all its bc data on 6.5mm ELD.

    Good and bad news. I just checked Hornadys site and they have changed their data to be in line with what my app was already telling me. They had the bc's screwed up. The Eldx is slower and slows down faster than the eldm. I'd also proved that myself way out to 1200m so I call that a fact.

    On the plus side....THEY HAVE A NEW 147gn monster (G7 bc of .697)
    that I had no idea existed. Is this available anywhere yet?

    Hornady Manufacturing Company :: Bullets :: Rifle :: Choose by Caliber :: .264 6.5mm :: 6.5mm .264 147 gr ELDŽ Match
    Looks like the 147gr is brand spanking new, along with match grade 123gr and 130gr ELD-Ms, whats good news for a lot of 6.5mm folk.

    So whats the G7 bc that you have found to be accurate out to say 800 yards?

    It could have been a bit of a marketing strategy to not hype yo much there eld's as they planed to get that big eld out, kind of making the other obsolete . But also the new eld had to be better than the old amax otherwise people would not have not bought them ( and paid the more expensive price for them)

    i noticed i was high by a click at 530m so the effect is there but not world ending (smacking a 3 or 4" gong 4/5 times in the top right corner).
    I used the difference in mv between eldm/x to interpolate a potential result for that new 130gn and 147gn. I reckon the 6.5x284 is a better platform for the 147. I'd need to push my brass way too hard in my swede. The 130 on the other hand.... That has my interest.

    6.5-284 or any 6.5 magnum could be the ticket indeed .

    My T3 in 260 loves these. I use 2209 at 40.2gn for a velocity of 2450fps. Nice gentle load, but it could certainly be pushed faster if desired.
    Will be using these to try and topple silhouette rams at 500m in Aussie.
