I'd guess Hornady were sick of being the the poor cousin to Berger/Litz and decided to make a big splash. They would have banked on the fact that 99.999% of shooters don't have the tech nouse to determine whether the product is capable of living up to the claims.

Litz is a double pain for them in the sense that, besides being a qualified ballistician, he is a top target shooter and this adds cred to anything he says.

the plastic tips of all other projectiles 'melt"
how many users of Nosler ballistic tips haven't recovered that tiny plastic bit out of an animal of three???? I know we have on at least 4 occasions...didn't look at all melted to me.

Yes but Mr Litz changes the BCs of projectiles he has tested....

The 300 grain 338s were 0.891 when they first came out, then 0.819 now 0.814 for EH & 0.822 for OTM..

    The 230 grain 30 cal target was 0.743, then 0.740 now 0.717.

For goodness sake man make your mind up.....

I have a couple of $100 books that are obsolete, cheers for that... ps still need to run 0.743 or more with the 230 target to make it fit the ballistic programme

I wonder if the 30 cal 230 was down graded to make the very long awaited 195 grain 7mm look better ....

I reckon hornady make better projectiles while berger have litz. I had some days when the Amax would behave (Rushy would recall) and others where the same load would go mental beyond 900m. The eldx and m are yet to go squirrelly at 1000m for me. Just what I've observed, sad to read that hornady seem to be trying on that patent bullshit with their solver.... why? When it's free and their projectiles are as good if not better. Like some sort of inferiority complex.
