Reason I asked the question above was I got in touch with Hornady about ELD-X asking for bullet and tip lengths, for stability calcs. This is what they said... I’ve always found Hornady to be very responsive unlike a lot of the American companies.
Thanks for writing in. The lengths you requested are below. For the 103gr ELD-X bullet we recommend going with a 1:8” twist or faster. For the 7mm’s – it depends on which bullet you want to shoot. For the 150gr ELD-X we recommend atleast a 1:9.5”, for the 162gr ELD-X we recommend a 1:9” and for the 175gr ELD-X we recommend anything faster than a 1:9”. Thanks again,

162gr ELD-X: OAL: 1.480” nominal
175gr ELD-X: OAL: 1.575” nominal
All bullet tip lengths are nominal at .175”
