How much do YOU save? (9mm)

So as I've started the fun part of my probationary period, I've come to realise that the 1000 rounds of Winchester whitebox is not going to last long at all to my surprise *cough* missus *cough*

I have access to reloading tools so I wouldn't have to buy my own (yet) and with the Internet giving us free reign over where we can source our supplies I can buy all the extras.

The thing is though, it doesn't actually seem like there's that much savings to be had unless you buy in MASSIVE bulk? Is the whole ideology of reloading being cheaper deriving from American prices of supplies and .30 cal+ centerfires here in NZ? Or is it just a thing here because you can tailor your rounds to your own needs?

Considering you can get bulk 9mm ammo for $400/1000 (40c round) how much can you drop the price to by reloading in your own experiences? 30c a round? 20c?

    Cheers
    Macca
