How to safely repurpose factory ammo

I have some 30 carbine ammo left over from the good old days. I only have 49 rounds so not enough to bother getting a 12g barrel insert. I knew someone who claimed to have a CZ in 30 carbine but he dicked me around too much so now i'm left with two options.

pull the bullets and fertilise the blueberry bush.

or see if there is a formula for making safe plinking loads with the powder. I suspect to be told to pull the bullets but yah never know.

    cheers

I'm not reloading expert but it would appear obvious to dump the powder and bin the brass and projectiles. not worth the drama and time of try to repurpose old unknown powder. or offer the ammo on here for free and pass it to someone with the correct rifle.

Yeah, either fertilise the garden or lay out a fine line on something relatively fireproof over a foot or so and flare it off. Not a huge amount out of that many rounds.

    I agree.

    Unknown powder.
    Pull bullets
    Fertilise the garden.
Press the primers out IF they are boxer and use them.
Hunt safe, look after the bush & plug more pests. The greatest invention in the history of man is beer.

I know a guy who has one and would take it off your hands. All legit.
He goes to Auckland reasonably frequently so could pick it up.
    PM me if you're interested.
    Overkill is still dead.
