No knives recently but things like dies come straight thru to my address with no hassles with the final delivery care of an NZ POST contractor.

@shooternz Just had a look on Ebay. Seem to be a few originals around still, unless of course the Chinese are no stamping USA on the blades?

Nice knives but a totally different theme to owning a Schrade Old Timer.

You don't need an import permit for projectiles - unless Customs think you're a dealer.

The US export rules changed last year - for a small number (4 ?) orders a year you don't/won't need an export permit.
Prior to that you needed an export permit that wasn't hard to get and cost (if I recall correctly) about US$200.

I have imported projectiles for my own target shooting.
Customs would get antsy when I bought in multiple shipments of 20lb boxes of 700 projectiles (600 185gr & 100 155gr plus packing). 1 box every 2 weeks or so for a couple of months.
Customs would hold up the shipments every year.
Every year I would give them the same documentation (that they had been sent the previous year) to get them to release them (after duty paid).

I saved a little by importing, but getting the quantities when I wanted them was the main reason.

Over 4 years I imported about 15,000 185 gr and 3,000 155 gr projectiles.
That's helped given the current supply problems.
Fortunately projectiles age well.
