What ever you do don't deal with Brownells Australia. Their prices work out dearer that Brownells USA and their delivery time is sometimes greater than B USA due to them not carrying all stock that their USA store has.

Have seen comments in other forums where the Aussies don't like the local Brownells. Possibly they are forced to use the local shop?

Last die order with B USA was 3 months ago. No delivery issues.
Usually pay using NZ Debit Card but for some reason my card was rejected last time so used my standard CC and no problems.

That's the sort of good information I need, thanks @zimmer

I was wondering if my debit card would be rejected, can only try. Thanks

USA, for some reason I have never dealt with the Australian Brownell's.

To save me getting involved in the bullshit of importing, can I grab the opportunity to ask if anyone has a 577/450 die set?

I had a seating die from Brownell's held up in customs for well over a month. That was back in July so it looks like, as some of the above posts say, they've got that part sorted out now.

Yup, it's all subject to who's playing with your parcel...

Some stuff comes through that requires a permit (little accessories, levels and such like) then reloading gear, 3 separate orders returned with no notification ( I suspect a power hungry group within NZ Post ) I have a good relationship with Customs and even have emails stating the reloading not requiring permits, and again Police declining reloading, yet some little group likes to send back and it's only when the supplier contacts you to say they've been returned.

My suggestion is to keep it small and you'll have no issues, bigger items/parcels may attract the groups attention.

    My 2 cents

Looking at making my Brownells order for reloading dies, but will I have to keep my order under $100 USD to get out of the States? Thanks.

My new rifle dies arrived on the courier this morning from the US.

They were held and opened by customs over the weekend, but passed through without any other issue.

I did not need or have a permit for them.

Who did you buy them from in the US?
