Info please: 7mm Blaser build & Data

Seeking some info from the 7mm experts over the ditch.

I am looking at building a 7mm Blaser on a M700 RUM action

Curious what dies people are running, twist rate/bullet weights and ideas on loads if running ADI or Hodgdon’s powders

    Thanks in advance

    Have you considered 28 Nosler?
I believe brass would be easier to get, and more load data available

From what I have seen from the US, barrel life is as little as 800 rounds.

When I looked last the wholesaler had 900 rounds in stock. At approx $130-150AUD/50

We are only JUST seeing Nosler brass on the shelves again @ $160-180AUD/25

The 7 Blaser mag makes more sense than the 28 Nosler

Similar performance with around 10 grains less powder.

The Nosler dies are cheap but the brass is expensive & hard to get here

The Blaser dies are expensive but the brass isn't & is easy to get here

You can build a Blaser on a Tikka, the Nosler not so much

The Blaser appears to have the accuracy edge with the rifles I've built & the barrel will no doubt last longer than the Nosler

Now I will just go & get a fire extinguisher & some Pop corn
    chainsaw and Grimus like this.
Contact me for reloading components, brass, projectiles, powder, primers, etc

I have just been getting the hang of a new 7BM. I wouldn't be worried if I only got 800 down the tube, that is a lot of deer! You cannot argue with a 180 doing 3090fps!!
The thing is bad ass acurate, super quiet with a suppressor on and comfortable to shoot without.
Have only tried Rl26. You will see pics of it here https://www.nzhuntingandshooting.co....-magnum-54659/

7mmBM is a really great calibre. I'm getting ~3060 fps w RL26 1:8 twist 26 in bbl put together for me by @Kiwiw Greg. It's a frickn laser .... tightest groups from any boom stick I've owned, well under 0.5moa.
Also have N28 Christensen Arms MESA also 26bbl but 1:9 twist. Yep gets an extra 100 - 120 fps but takes a heap more powder (RL33) to get there. 88 - 89 gns RL33 with 180 ELDMs running at 3180 fps. Groups at ~ 0.7 moa.
If I was to chose one over the other it would be the BM.
