For every bullet on the planet there will be people who shoot nothing else and people who will never shoot it again.
Acubond is a bonded core bullet, quite hard, holds together. penetrates very well,
SSt is not bonded so its a basic cup and core bullet with a cannalure (crimped band around the bearing surface) to help hold it together, softer and more frangible.
IIRC Greg Duely used the 110 gr acubond in a .25x284 they built with great success.
You are reloading now so try both.

They can be very soft and explodey if used incorrectly.. with well placed shots they can work very well.... I dont think they are made to be driven at very fast speeds such as the 3000+ most guys try to push things... I wouldnt recommend them as a bullet to guys with little hunting experience...

All depends on what you want a bullet to do. I dont use sst in my .308 anymore but I mainly hunt reds these days. They are very frangible probably more so than the amax, fallow you shouldn't need huge penetration after all a 223 flattenens em with varmint pills

Good old fashioned interlocks might be the ticket. Similar to an SST but lead tipped and not quite as frangible in my experience. I've only ever shot Sika though

    No such thing a a 25cal Amax.

I have shot deer with the SST out of my 257 but they are going a bit slower. Both Reds and Fallow. Biggest was a large red hind from about 4meters. Exited after going through both shoulders. I don't use them any more as I use the 117gr Sierra. They are quite soft and certainly make a mess of goats. They leave my barrel at around 2850fps. I have shot red stags with them but wouldn't recommend them if you were only hunting reds. They work really well on the Fallow at my speeds.

I have some Moly-Coated 115gr Berger's here if you want to try them. PM your address and I can send you 15 or so.

Meh, 25cal is a bit of a dead end for LR unless barrel makers start making faster twist barrels.
