    Joules

Does anyone have (preferably an app as last time i tried using math equations was 5th form!!!!) a way of calculating recoil of a round in joules of energy???

Its nothing big just a normal load of ADI 2208 in the 45gr range under a 155r proj! (ball park of the top of me head, reload notebook is out in the garage)

    Cheers

I have an excel calculator for it that I'll try and find for you when I get home,it doesn't take rifle weight or case head size into account though

I have used this one. It is in Imperial though. Easy enough to convert to Joules.
    1 ft-lbf is equal to 1.356 joule.

There is also Chuck Hawks table (does he really exist?)

PS: The 2 don't quite line up but the whole thing is subjective at any rate.

Zimmers links look easier to use, so unless you really want it I'll
Leave my spreadsheet out of it

JBM Ballistics has lots of useful calculators.

    Here's their recoil calc.
