Iv been around more than a few decades and know the history, not disputing it in any way. Put simply the amax is a bullet marketed as a match/ target bullet and performs as a hunting projectile. Your picture confirms this. You seem to be implying that the further designation of " varmint , medium game makes my point invalid. If that's the case then we will have to agree to disagree?
The berger vld maybe a better example of a match bullet that has made the transition to successful a hunting projectile.
