Thread: Latest Powder prices

Its getting pretty grim when even the local stores are apologising for the current powder prices. Was in the local store recently and happened to spy a couple of containers of Reloder 22 on the shelf; a favourite in the 6.5 06.
Last one I bought was back in March (and that was a shear fluke) and has $110.00 on it. This one last week was $150.00
Problem we all face is that we've got no choice - either pay the man the money or dont. Its not like you can head to the other side of town to "shop around". Theres a lot of theories about why all components are so expensive now, but one thing I do know is that they'll never be cheaper than they are right now. Same applies to projectiles and primers, so it might be harsh on the wallet, but it will pay to have a bit of stock up your sleeve while you can. Doesn't sound like the supply lines will free up any time soon

Just my opinion but it seems anyone selling anything these days just puts whatever price they want on it, especially if it's a niche market for the item.
