Is it good practice to drop your load back and work up when changing primer lots?
To be very specific I was using Federal 210 primers in the red and black packaging (circa 1993).

Yes, though I don't bother. But if the lots are 28 years apart (e.g. 1993 and 2021) I definitely would! The company have probably changed their production process, recipe or source of materials in that time.
