    I use BM2 in my 222 & 223, 50gn for a slower twist barrel, 55 if it's a bit faster, depends what you are going to be shooting? Vmax's are great on pests (Roo's, rabbits etc) Hornady soft points for fallow, pigs.

    twist rate is 1:9 shooting goats fallow and long range bunny busting, were looking at sierra 50 or 55g blitzking.

    If you get well into reloading for the 223 I would be interested in buying some ammo from you. Cheers

    @Kiwiman

    Yep your on the right track alright.

    BM2 is a good choice for .223

    55grs is a good choice as an all rounder.

    Give the 64gr Serria a go for the Goats and Fallow you might be surprised with the results.

    Cheers

    I use BMII in my .223 hunting rifle.
    It goes well behind the 50 Vmax 55 hornady soft point and scirocco 62gn.

    BM2 is awesome, I use 24gr with 50-55gr in my AR15, or down to 21gr with 80gr+ projectiles

    I am still load developing for my 20inch AR15 but 24gr of ADI 2208 on 55gr is giving me 1inch MOA in a 1 in 9 twist (Stag model 4). 23.6gr is my next load to try as I only have 5 x 55gr projectiles at the moment. 62gr does better for a 1 in 9 getting under 1inch but that is also under development but around 23.1~23.6gr of 2208 seems probable (A factory load of 77gr SMK PMC is under 1 inch). Currently handloading 77gr and I have a box of 69grain also, (I suspect 69gr is probably going to be the best weight for the 1 in 9 twist) just waiting for my shed to get warmer, LOL, 20rounds and I'm frozen

    BM2 seems a good powder to try though ditto 2206H. The former is on my list of powders for future tests, but waiting on my Caldwell Chrono to come from Brownells, tablet to run it came from amazon 2 days ago!!!
