    Loading for the 6.5 Creedmoor

Anyone on here running this calibre? I would prefer gas gun data.
I've finally got my DPMS scoped and have put some hornady factory 140Amax through it at just on MOA.
I have 2209 and more 140Amax and also some 155 SMK that I wouldn't mind trying.
Any info would be much appreciated.
I intend to smack gongs out to and past 1000
    Cheers
    Rob

    Hi,
    I am shooting the creedmoor.
My gun is a bolt action with a 27" true flight 1 in 8,5 " twist

I found the 140 gr not performing best in that barrel, maybe due to the twist being too slow?
I was loading 40 to 41 grain of AR2209 . At 41.5 the load was to hot and the bolt sticky.
I don't know how long is your barrel but the 120 gr a max and 130 gr Berger might give you a better performance .
I am not sure the old sierra 155 would stabilise in 1 in 8,5 twist with the slow speed you would get out of them.

    Cheers @Friwi,

Good to know about the SMK, I will give them a little try anyway.
The barrel is 1 in 8.5

Just curious, what speed were you getting with the 140's?

    2780 with 41 gr behind the 140's

    And 2900 with 42.5 of h-414 behind the 120's
