These apparently are the latest and greatest. We have seen results in the field from Tahr. Got some 60gr HH. These for my mate up the Coast as a possible alternative to Barnes which he ONLY uses and on current info will become rare as moas in NZ. Anyway the first 2 rounds were a disaster because I thought they would go best on the last cannelure or as the Hammer website calls them valleys. Crushed the shoulder trying to get there. Remember I dont use an expander for uniformity and tension reasons [ howls of outrage ].Screwed out the seater stem and gently went down to the last ridge [which is what they call them ]. This pill is well seated on 25gr's of BM2. Other commentary is that they like speed. All well and good but pressure is a thing which I like to avoid. Spun 5 rounds thru the mag for chambering. Very slick. PMC brass. These going north next month for marriage with post roar feeding dumbo stags. Have some more arriving which includes some 52gr HH but they are for some one else. No doubt that person might post a comparison picture. Last point is that the cavity is quite pronounced . Vastly larger than what you would see on Berger. Spent hours drilling those frigging things. Shudda biffed them like the Lightforce spotlight. The commentary from Hammer is that the cavity and design is to ensure the petals or front of the projectile fragment on impact to cause maximum damage. Think I will slowly hand feed the rounds to my mate. They are not cheap but they are doing what other ammo manufacturers are not doing it seems for NZ hunters baring our own designers up Matakohe and Tokoroa. As Te Rauparaha said see you in the ngahere. Tonight we had some sika stag [back steak] which went to heaven with a 95gr Bryn to the swede. Aged for 2 weeks in the fridge then vaccum packed. Just melted in the mouth. Might just be true that venison which is dead without moving and aged properly, with no water ever seeing it could be Alison Holst's real cooking secret. LOL.
