    Looking for 303 Lee Loader

Hey guys, am looking for a Lee Loader in 303.

Am new to reloading and want a complete kit that isn't going to break the bank to get started. Saw these and they seem quite simple and straight forward with everything included and no need to buy different dies etc etc.

Anyone know where I can pick one up?

    Cheers

How much were you waiting to pay? Reloaders supplies sells Lee Press kits for$200.
Includes everything you need except dies (lee dies are about $70) and a case trimmer (about $10).
I've never come across the set up you have shown, mainly due to I have never looked or knew it existed.

Mac, the site above seems pretty well priced. Also try reloaders supplies. I use the hand press. Was cheap and has made me more accurate and cheaper ammo than commercial. I reload 9mm and 308 in it and its so handy. Take it anywhere press-its awesome. The lee loaders are very good if you have time lol and you will need a rubber or plastic coated mallet-dont use a normal hammer unless you use a block of soft wood between the loader and the hammer.

Richard Lee can produce i think it was in 30 secs per round with the lee loader. Cheap and effective.

    Cheers.

Get some Matai flooring offcut to use underneath the loader

You'll also eventually need to trim your cases, Lee lock stud and cutter, plus case length gauge for caliber.

That and a rubber mallet, and you will be sorted

Especially with 303british. A lot depends on the load, min load 38gr of 2208 sees slow stretch 1 or 2 thou, max load and 3 or 4 thou stretch per shot is what I see so a trim every few loads (Lee's tool takes off 10thou). The Lee tool works out at $29, best used in a battery drill.

Also pick your brass with care, S&B ammo for instance needs a military decrimper tool to allow re-priming it also doesnt last well (Im told). The RCBS one is $40 but very good, you can use the $10 Lee tool if you have a lot of hours and fingers....

Winchester brass seem to reload fine, Im told Highland does but I havent tried any yet. The highland/privy Im told lasts well. I shoot 1942 ~ 1943 ex machine gun tracer brass that needs the de-crimp tool as well.

    regards

I started with one for a 223. Plastic/rubber hammer and a block of would, all sorted and the rounds shoot well too. Still have one if anyone needs one.

I just tried a Lee quick trim with my 303 brass, very happy, but thats $50 so about x2 the money of the std lee length/trim tool

That lee quick trim looks good, so what's the deal? Do you buy the quick trim and then can buy and change the trim dies for different calibers?
