    Looking a lot better

My Rem 700 SPS 243 appears to be shooting a lot better now. It shot average in it's from the factory form so I removed the pressure points under the barrel and free floated the barrel and also put some pillars in. Throughout the process I haven't really shot many good groups even after try various weight projectiles and different powders.
Today I took the 243 and 223 for a bit of a burn to see if I could get some reasonable groups and I surprised myself. The load I have settled on is the 95 gr SST loaded with 40 grains of AR 2209 as it shot a nice 13 mm group.
Me little Mod 7 shot ok for a stock standard rifle with one group at 16 mm. The 243 is quite fussy it appears as other loads with 87 gr Hornady and the 90 gr Game Changers spread the shots a little bit to much.Name: P1030244.JPG

The average velocity for the 243 load was 2940 fps. This time I took both my Chrono's and set them up one behind the other so I could measure the same bullet through the two Chrono's at once as I was thinking the F1 model wasn't reading correctly. As it turns out there was a difference of about 30-40 fps between the two, the Pro Chrono on most occasions was the slightly slower reading.
All in all a good little exercise.
