Thread: Looking a lot better

I compared my old Pro chrono (pre-digital model) against the Magnetospeed V3.
Out of five shots, three were within 1 fps, the other two were quite different but I put that down to the wind/muzzle blast having angled the Pro chrono a bit.

40 gr of 2209 seems to be a sweet spot for my Brno 243, had good groups with 85-100 grain projectiles, but my go-to is the 90gr ELD-X in front of 42.4gr, doing 3140fps

Yeh I will try those 90 gr ELDX sometime. I tried a few 90 gr Ballistic Tips as well, two powder weights of the same powder and they shot about an 13/4 inch group but the 46 grain load was to hot , bolt lift was ok but primer was flat the 45 gr load was much better.
