    machine die or shellholder

Hey guys have been trying to size some 7mm08ai cases with a new redding body die and no matter how i adjust it the shoulder doesnt get touched.
I've read somewhere before that you need to have one machined when this happens.
How much would you take off?
    Cheers

Before you get too carried away, try slipping a feeler gauge of whatever thickness you think you need under the case in the shell holder, then crank it up into die, and see if that does the trick.

You're using a Body die not a Full lenght sizing die . You are sizing the body of the case and not the shoulder , so when you size it you push the shoulder slightly forward .

Glad it solved your problem. If you do resort to machining do the shell holder - easier to replace if you need it back to stock at a later date.
