Hey guys I'm thinking off doing a load for my model 7 7mm08-19 inch barrel and was wondering if anyone has a load for it or any ideas what to run before I go out and waste money-time on trying to find something that works cheers guy

If you use the Google 'site' search function you can find things directly from the forum way better than the native search box:
site:www.nzhuntingandshooting.co.nz 7mm/08 reloading
That should give you lots of discussions to peruse.
NEVER trust load data you get off forums like this - always start low and work up in YOUR rifle.
Secondly, no-one can tell you what will work in your rifle as they're all different. You'll just need to pick a projectile that suits your needs, a powder that's appropriate (from a reloading manual or manufacturer's official website) and shoot a decent sized group. If it doesn't group to your satisfaction, try a different powder or change the projectile.
Good luck!
120-140 Nbt are a crowed favourite 2208 goes well in mine at 16” with 150lrab
I like heavy for caliber pills in my 7mm08 tikka. I've had exceptional performance with the 162gr ELD-M both near and far. Great accuracy with 2208 but pedestrian speed, have gained 150fps with Superformance powder.
As above 120gn and 140gn options are popular to. Hard to go too far wrong, easy cartridge to work with.
Fair call @Gibo I'm not familiar with the specifics of the M7 but suspect COAL would also be an issue with heavies
Nosler 120gr BT or speer 130gr hot-cors with a charge of 2208 or 2206h.
Will work a treat

Well I used pistol data from adi for my 16"
Just remember rifle data is based of a 24" barrel for ADI and their pistol data for 7mm08 is based off a 15" barrel so I'd recommend you use their pistol data.
My wee model 7 loves the 160gr tmk
@Kelton. Their 2.780 COAL off the top of my head.
I'm in hospital now awaiting surgery so don't have the load data but when I get home I can give specifics
@Kelton
Cheers.
Hernia surgery no less. Will sort data once I'm home mate.
For the OP 2208 would be hands down the powder of choice for what you want to do.
Greetings @JoshB,
For a first load it pays to keep things simple. The Mag in the model 7 is quite short so the lighter flat base projectiles or Ballistic Tips are a good place to start. Recent chronographing in a 19" barrelled 7mm-08 produced 2,710 fps for the 140 grain and 2.570 fps for the 150 grain Remington corelokt projectiles. The loads were 42.5 and 41.5 grains of AR2208 respectively. These loads are close to or at book max so start lower and chronograph to check velocity and pressure. I am also using 41 grains of AR2206H behind the 145 grain Speer Hot Core for 2,800 fps in a 26" barrel which should give a little less than 2,650 fps in your barrel. Once again this is close to book max so start lower etc.
AR2206H and AR2208 data from ADI/Hodgdons checks out pretty well with my chronographed data assuming the projectiles are similar and barrel length is allowed for. Data for AR2209 may be for an older and slower version so starting low and chronographing is essential.
Regard Grandpamac.
Cheers for all the advice, I've been looking around for 2208 but it's getting harder and harder to find at the moment
