Most destructive 223 varmint projectile ?

I ve run the V max pills on rabbits and found them pretty nasty but was wondering what you guys run.
    Shooting out of a 223 / 1-12 twist.
    TNT ?
    V max ?
    Barnes Varmint Grenades

Gotta love the names of these things

Most destructive 223 varmint projectile ?

For all distances -60g Nosler Ballistic Tip

Nosler produce a 50g which would suit your twist rate.

And a 40gr... which is a very effective projectile. Pushing 3800fps out of a 223.

I've killed a few deer with 55gr game kings reloaded by 7mmSaum as above, my rifle won't shoot anything heavier very accurately.

Now using 55gr Hornady which are very accurate but have yet to shoot a deer with one, got a rekindled love affair going on with my .260 these days.

    What Tim and Striker said.
Destructive = explosive = fast plastic tipped varmint projectile
So 35-40gn, but they will lose that speed fast.

I actually find Sierra Blitzkings are less explosive than VMaxes.

It's had a few mods and it is a very accurate bit of gear. Well looked after by previous owner thanks.
Took another 40 minutes to get out of the airport though where it was collected from ha ha

Thanks guys, lightest pill I ve shot is the 53gr V Max, excellent projectile with good BC for a .224 .
Sounds like there's no definite answer as a few of the comments contradicted each other with blitzkings doing more damage than V Max's then vice versa.
Looks like going for 40gr could be interesting .
Surprised no one mentioned hollow points like the TNT or Varminators.

Good luck with those BIG rabbits Dougie

Cheers pal, I actually got this one with my .22 but luckily I got him in the eye. They get big here in HB.
