My treasure trove of reloading data

Collection of reloading data in the form of PDF's. Organised neatly, collected from various powder and bullet manufacturers, for the calibres that I currently shoot / have shot / plan to shoot.

Hopefully of help to someone. If you have any you'd like to contribute, PM me.

    Thanks for that.
Interesting to note that for 308 Speer 130hp for Varget powder, the starting load in the Hodgon data is the max load in the Speer data! Shows that it pays to check several sources before starting a new load.

No worries. I take the Speer data for non Alliant powders with a pinch of salt.

Alliant used to directly own Speer, Federal, and CCI. Those three got spun off together which is why Speer always has favouritism for CCI and Federal components... and why lo and behold they often still find an Alliant powder claiming to be better than anything else.

Probably explains what you're seeing there

The Alliant Technosystems/Vista Outdoors set up is quite recent.

You need to go back further and Vernon Speer created Speer Projectiles and his brother Dick Speer set up CCI (initially in Vernon's factory, it may have even been just a large garage at that stage).
That is where the favoritism started.

As an aside, I bought my first reloading manual, Speers, in the 70s. In those days it was a bit of a bible. Not much else around. I still have that manual, it has curio value.
Recently I thought I had better have a latest manual so purchased the latest Speer. Most disappointed by it and yes some of the loads are suspect. A lot of cutting and pasting appears to have gone as some of the language seems quite aged to me. Also the manual is hopelessly out of date.

I had a speer manual from the 70's. Full of great info about how particular cases and calibers came about and when.
Sold it in a moment of stupidity!

EDIT just looked on line at the speer info..... no .308 WTF?
