    Mystery circle

Hey guys I dnt think this is a bad problem but I use rcbs dies and hornady and for all my diff calibers. When put the projectile in the case it leaves like a circle on the end of the projectile why is this? I guessing it's hitting on something. Sorry don't really no how else to explain it?

What projectile, you may need a Vld Seater.

Yes, a vld seater will fix it, use a chamfer on your case neck ID and OD, also clean your case neck inside diameter well, then lube the projectile when assembling.

Hornady make a seating stem specially for the 7mm 162g a-max which alleviates some of the long ogive problems affecting reloaders.

The stem is hollow os that they do not push on the point but VLDs are more pointy then some of the others and insted of pushing on the sides of the tapper they push on the point and deform the bullet. you can get a stem with a longer hole in the center to cater for this.
