Greetings Kelton,
As you probably already know the two cases are the same other than the neck. The cases may grow a little in length with necking down so you may need to trim them. I very much doubt you will need to neck turn. You can check this by measuring the outside diameter of the neck of a .270 WSM case fired in your rifle and comparing this to that of a reformed .300 WSM case with a .270 projectile seated. Measure the fired case neck close to the shoulder as this is often a little larger. In the past I have necked down .30-06 to .270 Win. .308 to 7 mm-08 and .270 to 6.5-06 and neck turning has not been needed. The .270 WSM case will chamber and fire in the .300 WSM and although not dangerous is not recommended. Just don't expect to hit anything.
Regards Grandpamac.
@Kelton have gone to 270wsm now?
Check the neck wall thickness once resized, optimum is 0.135 inch
I would say you need to trim length
