    New Adg brass

Just started out with some new Adg brass in 65prc .

I’ve chamfered both inside and outside of neck and have had four collapsed necks when seating the projectiles?

Surely this isn’t standard or do you need to run the brass through a full length sizing die first ?

I thought this stuff was supposed to be the ducks nuts?

It seems to be collapsing where there is a colour change in the brass that looks like annealing .

Loading 143 eldx not that it should matter .

Appreciate any feedback, have emailed alpine precision too .

Into Kawekas for 4 days this weekend working on Ballard Hut for Back Country trust and hoping to have a new load and be ready to go .

    Cheers Fellas

I've only had this happen if the seating die is set up wrong try lifting the ram up to its max with a empty case then wind the die in until it touches the case mouth the back it out 1 turn.
    ADG is great brass

I would always run through a full length sizing die on new brass

Had this happen on mates 270 recently. Brass a fraction long and seating die a fraction low.

Cheers fellas , definitely got me out of jail.
Just upgraded the press and this was the first load I’d done for the prc , totally forgotten to check the die depth .

    I owe you all beer

I like it. Where can I buy a rifle made for that cartridge. Lol
