Quite different & seems to take up more space

I guess they are wanting to get away from plastic ?

One of the dudes from Capstone Group mentioned that the packaging was to address case neck damage that was occurring with the plastic boxes. Unfortunately now it’s only 100 pieces per box, so no occasional freebie to toast in the AMP.

You got Lapua 308 Palma Brass? WOW.
Great brass well worth the price.
I've got some fired 20 times already and still reloading well.

In about November 2022 Lapua said they weren't producing Palma Brass for the foreseeable future.
I guess they've changed their minds.

My last order of 308 Palma brass had 101 cases in each box.

Over the years I've bought about 3500 Palma cases and had only one damaged case neck.
The damage was fixed by gently working the damaged neck over a centre punch until it was round.
I then loaded and fired it.

The new packaging makes sense, but the old blue plastic boxes are so useful.
One can pack 125 loaded 308 rounds in the blue box with foam on top to stop them moving.

Yes it really doesn't sit well with me destroying a few perfectly good bits of brass in the AMP to get the appropriate code, but it it what it is

Do ya reckon all lapua 300nm brass should have the same amp code or very close even with different amp aneallers?
Might have to ask Alex the question.
Very glad I got my brass a couple of years ago looking at the latest prices!

Has anyone tried toasting two separate cases from the same batch to see if they yield the same code outcome?

I’m not convinced there is enough tangible gain to bother putting up with a 99 piece lot of brass.
    Sorry for the thread hijack.

I always do three or more, very rarely are they the same code

I guess it comes down to how exact you want to be, still has to be way be more consistent than gas

I'm generally not annealing new brass, there are usually some that can be culled

When I have done it they are very close.
I don't mind toasting common reasonably priced brass but struggle with gold rocking horse ones!
I haven't even lost one of my 300nm cases yet!
Same can't be said for my lapua 22-250 brass!

Aahh, so that’s actually a thing. Thought it was me just getting lucky.

That aligns with my expectation completely and therefore more than happy using the website presets.

Different batches of brass could theoretically throw a wee bit of a spanner into the works though.... ?
