Thread: New Sako 85 .308 load needed please

All rifles are individuals of course and even the next 85 Finnlight off the production line to your mate's one will probably shoot better with a different powder, bullet combination than his 85's most accurate hunting load. Having said that, I've found that 45gr of AR 2206H with the 150 SST groups .5" or better at around 2,800 fps in my Sako 85. Close to max load so start at about 43gr and work up.

Prefer the slower AR 2208 (Hodgdon Varget) with the heavier bullets such as 165 Hornady's.
