Give Arthur Cleland a ring. He has all sorts stacked up in his little room there. You might be lucky.

The 55 grain oryx should be perfect for the little Weatherby.

Have you ever recovered one of these 55gr Oryx after its been through a deer, and if so do you a photo? I'd imagine they're quite hard? I use Nosler 64gr bonded protected points in .223 for certain applications but they're too hard for chest shooting and have been considering replacing them.

Nope never used them but advice was they were a premium bullet which should go well at the Weatherby velocity's. I don't mind being pointed in another direction I have 300 of the old style Noslers in 50 grain but they are not made any more so looking for alternatives, slow twist barrel so cant go to big.

Ah yes slow twist is no good for 74g, I did recently pick up some 62g Swift Sciroccos, looking forward to do some load work on those and see have they kill, have heard lots of good things on they're kill ability.

Well there's only one way to find out. I for one would be very interested to hear how you go with them if possible.

I've never been able to recover one of the Noslers, as they always punch straight through and even with a spade and a fair amount of excavation I've not found one.

    These ones:

Because they are short the Noslers stabilise in a 1:12" twist. Not fantastic accuracy but good enough.
