Yeah but only single feed, no way it would fit in a SA magazine.

Will the 26 Nosler actually give you much over a 264 Win Mag?

The 28 Nosler makes a lot of sense if you can seat the pills out a ways and have a long throat.

What about a 257 Nosler? Beat the Weatherby by a bit I reckon... 80 TTSX at 4k plus....

2-300fps over a 264 winmag with a 130gr bullet is a pretty good performance increase...

It doesn't go much faster than the 375 DCM, certainly slower than the 385 Terminator, but it is a little bigger to be fair

Used in a super light rifle these Nosler chamberings have a lot of merit if your chosen projectile allows the ammo to be mag fed---and that's a big $$$$$ if

I can't see the point yet with the 338 variant

When you take away the fact that the illustration/advert is using a 225g accubond and start using a decent LR projectile the story changes dramatically.

    33 Nosler........300g elite hunter projectile..........26 inch barrel......... 2750fps

    338 lapua. 300grainer. 24 inch barrel. 2850fps

    338 Edge. 300grainer. 24 inch barrel. 2900fps

Then further still if you AI the 338 Lapua it becomes something quite special

It's simply due to case capacity, and the 33 Nosler Has the least powder capacity of the bunch, -and is just a chambering that hasn't had the Edge reamer pushed in far enough yet

Yeah its designed as a medium range hunting round with mag feeding.
338 win is very popular over in the usa and the 33 kills it in performance

The selling point behind the Nosler cartridges is they fit and feed from a standard action.

But the issue is you lose performance with the long heavy pills, like a 300 WSM and 190+ projectiles. If you just throat it a little longer you get performance for free.

I think Nosler cooked the books a bit with the 26 Nosler figures.

    My 264 gets 3480 with 120gr Monolithics and 3100 with 140gr sst.
