Very accurate round
Hits like a hammer
Had the 208amax going 3000fps
Dies can be a bitch to find.

I heard last night Blaser will be doing/have done the 300 Norma Mag which will be available soon
300 Norma or 300 Blaser?
How many grains of powder burning for your 230gr hybrids?
Sorry, to clear it up it is a Norma .300 Blaser Magnum, Norma developed it for Blaser on request, my gunsmith has a reamer, Brass is available, Dies are on the way to NZ soon (1 set saved for me) from what I can find so far it is a ripper, low on recoil, fast accurate and as mentioned hits like a hammer. This I'm very much looking forward to...
Low on recoil, fast and hit like a hammer usually don't go hand in hand
Its a 300 Blaser Magum :)
Norma makes the brass & ammo.

Nothing new, that caliber has been around for a few years now...
who has the reamer mate?
might have to give the 300wsm a hurry up :)
Was it Hugh that told you it was low recoil???
If yes, then he's even more full of shit than I thought.
It's a mean case/cal, accurate and pushes the 208's at decent speed. But you are definitely going to want a brake and/or can because the recoil in a sporter weight rifle is substantial.
Maybe if you build it with a straight contour barrel and lead filled stock then the recoil would be 'low on recoil'
Haha eat a dick, or something like that.
@Alonzo will tell you it's a sweet calibre. His blaser in 300 blaser mag is a laser. Was stacking them on top of each other at 700 and hitting brads gongs with athourity.

I run 230gr Berger Tacticals out of mine on AR2217 and I'm getting about 2890fps. I accidentally brought mine (barrel came in a package deal) and I've not looked back. Had it at the range the other day and tested it with supressor, brake and nothing. You'll want either a supressor or a brake. I shoot tighter groups using a Terminator brake.
Iv got a Blaser R8 in 6.5 x55 and 300 Blaser mag , I really rate the cartridge - 208 grn amax at 3030, and like Alonzos it's a tackdriver but is not fun shooting it without a can or brake - it is a 300 magnum after all.
What can a win mag spit a 208 at?
Roughly the same , if I was building a 300 magnum I would go for a 300 win mag as its a common chambering and you have a range of good brass and dies at reasonable prices to choose from
Still get 3k out of a win mag with 208s though dont ya?
Comment retracted ;)
Yes you will. I had the 215 berger going 2920fps that was the load it came with had a play and got them going at 3070 slight pressure signs but accuracy deminished

What does @Rushy throw them out at? From memory 208 was near 3000 if not more?
I have 300 blaser dies in stock here dies are not hard to find at all just need to know who to talk to brass aswell in stock
