Looking to load something a little more sleek than the 140gr Speer Gold Dot.
Any reports on the 6.5 Bondstrike? Will it hold up below 100m at 6.5x55/Creedmoor velocities, or is it closer to the Accubond LR/ELD-X; better at a bit of distance as velocity bleeds off a little?

This is an impact on a hinds front shoulder at an impact velocity of about 2250fps. Hit bone. I removed the far side front quarter and it shows the internal damage pretty well. Take from it what you will. Dropped on the spot.

I've shot around 40 deer with my 6.5prc now using Norma factory ammo with that projectile. Had a really good run up to about 30 deer, then the last 10 my shooting has been appalling ahaha. They seem to work well, but most of the deer I have shot have been 150m or longer range. I haven't dug out many projectiles, but the ones I have, have held together pretty well. Longest range on a red was 560m, two shots thru the boiler room to stop him but the first would have done the job if I'd waited a few seconds.
Seems to be worth the spend then! Thanks all for the feedback.

@Cam86NZ how did you find the terminal performance of the gold dots on animals? I have some loaded up but am yet to use them on anything other than paper.
To be honest it was the only ammo I could get when I bought the rifle so bought as much as I could. Once I have used it all I’ll have the brass then can start reloading. I have all the components I need now. So haven’t tried anything else to compare sorry. I’m not really into mixing things up, I find a load that shoots better and faster than factory ammo, and then just go hunting.Quote:

Really like them; I have loaded them across a number of calibers. Just a really well put together Jacketed Lead Core - consistent penetration, great expansion out to 250~m in the 6.5x55. Have not pushed the 6.5mm further than that with them at the moment.
