    Old brass

So after reloading a while, I have accumulated brass thats either been reloaded several times, cracked necks and worn primer pockets etc. Therefore I was wondering what do people do with that brass? Do you resize them into another calibre, bury in your backyard, leave it on the range, throw it into the bin, sell to the scrapyard or just keep as a momento?

If mine has any of the afflictions you mention it gets binned, I don't run any really high intensity rds 6.5 -06 probably comes the closest so don't bother annealing, just buy good brass then when I've had a good run out of it I toss it and buy more.
    Thats just me though.

@mimms2 - Not sure how much the scrappie pays, maybe max $5/kg which will probably be a few hundred 223 cases or half that for 308. Some 50 cal cases will fill 1 kg pretty quick too.
@jakewire - i'm not really into annealing as the ones that i shoot full-load (223 and .303), their brass is available. And the harder to find or expensive ones like the 7.62x54r and 8mm mauser, I generally shoot subsonic with 1 or 2 full-powered loads so this goes quite some way.

I put it into a scrap bin to recycle. Once every 12 months I take it in for cash, however I also do general recycling anyway so I get a fair bit for it along with stainless, aluminium,, copper & steel.

Any bad brass gets squished with polygrips and biffed into a bin. No mistakes. (well I'll do my best to eliminate what I can)

Off to the scrap yard. But as a plumber I also save up all my copper and brass so get a fair bit. Nearly £600 pounds worth last year

Of which.....5 rounds of old ammo which I had to hide in the middle of the brass bucket as they won’t actually take it since it’s part of a firearm

Sounds a bit like the roofers who rolled up 50kg of lead flashing and "we're just getting rid of it" when I asked them if the client was getting a discount for it since they were clearly going to weigh it in.

I reckon their Beer fund is pretty healthy if they scammed one client per week.
