Old primers
So just realised I only have 23 primers left which ain't gona go far especially if this lockdown goes on for to long. Then I remembered I still had a stash of my dads winchester primers (500+) that I guess are around 25 years old. Always been stored in a clean dry environment.
Whats your thoughts are they still going to be any good and if they do work will they be consistent?

I have some that are 22+ years old but haven't bothered using them for the sake of a few cents each for new ones.
I suspect they would still be okay, but I'd fire a few primed cases to check before loading any.

they could also be those ones they had a problem with blowing out or something i recall

Primers usually last about 75-90 years before the compound degrades.
I'm shooting lots of ammo right now from 1975, 1976 and 1981 and it all goes bang.
