I have 5 test rounds of 130gr TTSX in front of 44.2gr of H335 that I have to test out, but before I do a full ladder test I may consider a different powder.
I will be using a Bergara with a 20" barrel.

    Open to all possibilities....

    Cheers

@phil Just a factory length tikka t3x ( no idea on length to be honest )
Fluted barrel with DPT can on the end with 4 extra baffles. She’s a a god dam treat to shoot with the 130s
Going to give some 110s a go soon.

    Greetings All,
I fired a test series for my .308W recently using the Speer 125 grain TNT with new Winchester cases and Federal 210 primers.
    47 grains BM8208 2,948 fps
    47 grains AR2206 2,938 fps
    47 grains AR2206H 2,901 fps
The rifle is a Remington M700 308W 510mm barrel and DPT suppressor.
The test was to establish relative speeds of the powder and are about 2 grains under max in the Hodgdon data. These loads would be over max for Barnes projectiles.
    Regards Grandpamac.

slight update, couldnt get any accuracy out of getting them to go any faster, it was humming around 53gr with a hard bolt so i didnt progress with 53.5 , re visited the 52 load at 200 an wasnt happy so backed off an started again, its in that 51.5 range which might be a primer difference or the temps from the other day -either way im confident thats about where it wants to be an the velocity 'loss' wont be missed.

keen to put one ofthese into a Sambar sometime soon, its a toss up for the mornings walk.. see what the morning brings.

    cheers gents

One I was getting up to around 49gr of 2208 they started flying all over the show.
Heard some people saying the 130 TTSX were no good on small animals up close. Knocked a couple goats over last week around 20-30m mark no issues. Dropped a few smaller reds ranging from 40m-200m easy enough. Haven’t found anything sizeable yet to throw them at

Yeah thanks Joel, its not the first time ive seen things like this where a projectile which is sometimes made for another cartridge gets used here, an that the end of the day the velocity bracket, (or could use the word Velocity Bubble, as its more fitting with Covid19) where the Loads basically 'sweet up' where its originally designed for lol.

the TTSX 130gr should be fairly devestating for a otherwise reknowned stout projectile! ive actually seen or heard of them being used for Sambar stags mate an by a Women of a hunter fella... i think it was in the 06 but same same really...

    they will be sweet -

cheers for ya info mate, been appreciated
