    Oiled but not greased. Have oiled it since. I don't think greasing would have stopped the gouging caused by something being caught in there.

    I wonder whether it may have been fucked from new, not a lot of clearance to allow anything between the shaft and the bore.

    Got a T7 press and broke the shell holder spring clip when I had to remove the ram to get a projectile out. Really rate the press.

    That's another thing with the press. I got a shell holder for my .404 Jeffery, it wouldn't fit in the press so I took the spring clip out, but it isn't Spring steel so it has bent out of shape and won't hold the shell holder in anymore.

    A few wraps of a rubber band is a lot better and doesn't have the tendency to push the shell holder out of alignment like the spring can.
