I use a PMA 6mm for benchrest, really good for pulling a few unwanted loads at the range
For normal work use I use the Hornady cam lock bullet puller, easiest by far, can damage projectiles if they are stubborn, as most will

Use the Hornady as well, along with the hammer type inertia puller for those bullets that don't have a parallel shank long enough for the pullers to grab and haul a bullet out. The damage is usually worse with crimped or sealed factory type rounds, in this case a small push deeper often is enough to release the bullet and minimise any marking. Sometimes it's not something you can avoid though, and the pulled projectiles become practice jobbies...
Possibly the only advantage with the design linked that I can see is not needing a press, but on the other hand you need a press to reseat the proj?
@Kiwi Greg so the PMA works as advertised.... no damage, to the projectiles. Which would help justify the price.
I've been down the inertia road and the Collett tool as well, both work well but have downsides when it comes to projectile reuse.
Dont come up for sale very often, so thats got to be another plus for them. Maybe someone is getting out of the game is an option before looking for new looking for a 30 cal one.
Why not use an inertia puller?
I pulled a bunch of 260 projectiles and it was quick and easy, if you pack the end out so the projectile doesn’t come the whole way out (I used an ear plug) you don’t get powder everywhere either.
I pulled a bunch of 223 loads too, but that was considerably more difficult…..
I do use an inertia puller. I get powder flying up passed the collet pieces. Often the bullet releases at the top of the stroke (in the air).
I have used the ear plug trick too. It helps stop bullet deforming but is a PITA for powder recovery.
Hence seeking something else.
Maybe multiple earplugs I like your idea of packing it out so the bullet doesn't fully release.
How are you getting the bullet releasing at the top of the stroke? That's like the opposite physical direction from the bullet falling out... Not being a smart ass but just in my confusion with this how are you using the thing? They are pretty much designed for you to hold them up in the sky with your wrist cocked at an angle and then flick down as fast as you can so the bullet has a lot of momentum when the puller head stops on whatever you are using as a stop block. There's no point doing a huge backswing, it just wastes energy (unless you have surplus and are trying to teach the miscreant bullet a lesson). Obvious factor, the heavier the pill the more effective the inertia pullers are as the more grains, the more energy they have at the sudden stop.
Better than an earplug, a round of closed cell foam cut to the right size with a wad punch or similar and pushed into your puller head will help I think and seal things up so you don't get powder everywhere.
also LOOK after each downstroke....sometimes you dont realise its done its job....I use the LEE primer tool inserts in mine and fine it much easier than the stupid wee plastic bits.
@No.3 it's the only way I can describe it. I will hear a click as the bullet releases....this is after the hit, and the inertia hammer is in mid air. But hasn't been brought down for another strike.
I often run light bullet neck tension and can remove the bullet with one strike. It's a bit of a juggle to get the right force, that's what leads me to believe the bullet releases mid flight.

I'm wondering if your kinetic puller works the same way mine does - I've only ever seen one sort of design though...
Probably different as mine is blue, but we digress, this was an enquiry about the PMA tool and thiose that have used them. There doesnt seem to be many that have apart from Kiwi Greg.
