Thread: PMC 223 77gr match ammo

Has anyone tried it? if so what barrel twist and what MOA?

I have some secondhand info for you.

A mate borrowed my 22" 1in8 ar upper for the bunny shoot a couple of weeks ago and as the pmc 77gn ammo used the same pill as my handloads he bought 500 rounds of it.

He claimed it shot 1/2 moa so almost as good as my handloads but had a bit more drop so it's not as hot

Thanks, I have 20 to try. Also various others, 69grADI with sierra MK but my twist is 1:9 so 77 might be a bit long, we'll see.

Where did you get the pills from? Most places seem to have 55gr only. Ive managed to get 62gr FMJs in Barnaul, ADI and Amscor but I would like some match grade to hand load as well.

You attend WSRA shoots? If so you will know him a a very tall guy called John

haha, Im 5ft 6inch, everyone is tall. WSRA, on occasion, yes. I want to attend more but lack the time till the Spring especially as my no4s still needs work. I am waiting on Criterion shipping new No4 barrels so I can put my "a bit worn" match gun barrel on to what will be my WSRA gun as the match gun has an original F1953 mil barrel and my WSRA barrel has been loped.
