Can anyone shed any light on why Hodgdon powders are almost half the price of ADI?

Happy Jack.
They are?
You sure you are looking at the same size? Hodgdon containers are normally 500gram and ADI containers in the last shipment were all 1kg.
Price per Kg seems the same to me last time I looked.
Some of the European powders are up there on price though.
Hodgdon being USA is sold in Imperial weights eg 1lb, 4lb, 8lb. 1lb = 454 grams.
In the way back past, when Serious Shooters was one of the few stocking Hodgdon the prices for Hodgdon 1lb was almost twice that for ADI 500grams. I could never understand why anyone would buy the Hodgdon product except maybe for the powders that Hodgdon market which are not rebadged ADI.
European powders are mostly metric. I say mostly as I have one can of Vihtavouri VVN550 which is 1ld. I can only guess that it was packaged in 1lb for the American market as was imported via there. All my other VV powders (N110, N140) are in metric weights.

I really need new glasses since I can't see the difference between 1lb and 1kg
