Thread: Powder/projectile recommendations 300wm

Hi guys,

My mate has recently obtained a 300 win mag (carbon fibre everything, nice custom rifle) and he has decided that once he has got through his factory ammo he is very keen to start reloading.

He is thinking he would like to run projectiles in the 160-180gr range, most likely Hornady ELD-X or SSTs.

I have no familiarity reloading for the 300wm specifically, so I am wondering what powders people would recommend for the 300 win mag for a good accuracy/velocity with projectiles in this weight bracket? Feel free to recommend other hunting projectile/powder combos as well.
