About LinkBacksYep, I re-read those Speer manual pages and it is obvious that it is not the amount of powder burning/burnt that causes the 2200 K heat that destroys barrels... it's the pressure.
The pressure causes the extreme heat that's necessary to erode and heat crack the barrel. Kinda like how they make carbon turn to diamonds = Pressure.
