This is probably old news to the old hands but I'd never really considered size difference in the same packet. Expect it between brands obviously.
When loading some 2 x fired 22-250 today with Fed 210s I found what I thought were flogged pockets because several had the primer seat with very minimal force. Could be removed by hand with a piece of wire. So I started to reuse these primers and same thing happened, a quick measure across the tray and they varied from 0.2100 to .2085.
Opened a new packet, different batch, and these ones measured consistently at 0.2100 to 0.2105. All seated snug.
Don't be in a rush to bin the brass or switch primers. Hopefully this is helpful to someone.
