    Primers from Ozz

Guys, I’m across the ditch and I’ve found some LRP’s. What’s the legalities of bringing some home with me? Need to know for sure, no guesses or might be’s…..can’t afford drama in this ‘take their licence away’ environment we live in. I thought it was ok to have ammo in the checked baggage as long as you declare it, would primers be any different?
Anyone up with the play with the law relating to this?

Not permitted on Air New Zealand or Qantas. Ammunition is allowed (with restrictions/requirements), but they specifically prohibit primers and percussion caps.

My last hunting trip I specifically removed all the live rounds from the pack and next day proceeded to board a plane to cross the Tasman and arriving at my destination I still managed to find two live rounds in the bloody pack, so perhaps a small packet or two can be misplaced?

Thanks guys, yep it’s a no go unfortunately. Appreciate the advice.
Walked into a shop in Perth and they have half a dozen cartons of 5000 Remington LRP at $540 a carton

I just grabbed a thousand of small rifle at 248 bucks,
I obviously paid a lot more per primer, but it's either that or go without.
